A nice starting hand is a good start, not a promise. Two hearts aren't a flush yet, and even pocket aces can lose. We've put the cards on the table so you can see the differences. There are three little quizzes too. Pick the strongest starting hand, compare two flushes, then work out who shares the pot when four nines land on the board. Hey, DIP Cat here 🐾 Lesson 4 is up! This one's for anyone who's looked around the table and thought, 'Wait... is it me?' We're following that little dealer button around a six-seat table. It tells us where the small blind and big blind go, and helps us find who acts first. Here's the bit that catches people out: before the flop, action starts after the big blind. Once the three shared cards arrive, it starts with the first player still in the hand clockwise from the button. The same people are sitting there, but the starting point changes. The lesson walks through it with pictures, then moves the button for the next hand. Nobody has to swap chairs. Not even me, and I've only just got comfortable 🙂 Try the little quizzes before opening the answers. No money needed. A few counters and a deck are plenty. Hey, DIP Cat here 🐾 Lesson 3 is up! This time, we're slowing things down and looking at what you can actually DO when it's your turn. Check, call, bet, raise, fold. Five little words that can feel very confusing when everyone else already knows them. No need to pretend you do. Pull up a chair 🙂 If nobody has bet on this round, you can check and keep your cards without adding chips. But if someone bets 4 chips, you can't just check again. That's when calling, raising or folding comes in. We'll follow one practice hand in pictures and try each choice separately. You'll see who puts chips in, how many they add and what stays in the pot. There's also a small but useful difference between "raise TO 12" and "raise BY 12". Yep, those mean different amounts. No money needed. A few spare buttons or pretend chips will do if you want to follow along. Try the little quizzes, then tap Show answer when you're ready. Which action still confuses you? Your opponent's two private cards: K♥ Q♠. The five shared cards in the middle: Q♣ 9♦ 4♠ 2♥ 8♣. You each have ONE queen in your private cards. You both use the queen in the middle to make a pair of queens. Neither player was dealt two queens. So who wins this hand? Does your ace make a difference against their king? Try picking the best five cards for each player before checking the lesson. We'll also look at a different hand where both players use all five shared cards and split the pot. Makati Diamond Residences is one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at because they have a mini kitchen, which is perfect if you want to cook while staying at the hotel. They also have an indoor pool and very friendly, accommodating staff. The ambiance is cozy and relaxing, and there are plenty of beautiful spots that are perfect for taking photos. 📸✨ Overall, it’s a great place to relax, unwind, and feel right at home. 🏨❤️ Definitely worth the stay!
