APT Jeju's Main Event has a confirmed KRW 3,207,600,000 prize pool after registration closed at 1,375 entries, including 696 unique players. The tour's September 30 report puts the winner's prize at KRW 556,340,000.

A double elimination split the minimum cash

The KRW 2.7 million buy-in tournament initially scheduled 199 paid positions. Two players were then eliminated simultaneously on the bubble: Francis Anderson and Shurong Huang each received KRW 2,090,000, splitting the KRW 4,180,000 minimum cash. Another 198 players advanced to Day 3.

Ma Kaihong led those survivors with 1,135,000 chips. These are the end-of-Day-2 figures, not a live October 1 chip count. No champion had been declared in that report.

The important distinction is between entries and people. Re-entry means a large field does not represent the same number of individual competitors, and a headline prize says little about any entrant's expected return. The split cash also explains why counting paid people and counting payout positions can produce different totals.
