Shi Rong Wang won the first Titan Stack Daily at Gods of Poker's Taipei festival on September 18, taking NT$222,800 from an event with 88 entries, according to the organiser's official results.

The result opens The Trial of Wisdom, which runs September 18–27 at Asia Poker Arena. The organiser lists 77 tournaments, with the NT$17 million-guaranteed Main Event still to come.

Wang wins the opening-day title

The NT$5,500 Titan Stack Daily carried a NT$777,000 guarantee. GOP's September 19 recap reports that Wang defeated Po Cheng Lai heads-up, winning the closing confrontation with king-queen against queen-ten on a jack-high board. Wang covered his opponent by one big blind when the stacks were counted.

That is a completed result from the opening day, not a forecast for the rest of the festival. The entry count includes tournament entries; it should not be presented as 88 unique people.

Main Event starts September 22

The official schedule separates two key events:

  • Main Event: the first flight is September 22 at 12:30 p.m., with a NT$33,000 buy-in and a NT$17 million event guarantee.
  • Accumulator: a separate NT$5,500 event with a NT$3 million guarantee, not a discounted entry to the Main Event.

All amounts here are New Taiwan dollars. Dates and start times follow the organiser's Taipei schedule. Players considering a later flight should check that flight's own registration deadline and structure, rather than assuming every session is identical.

DIP's view

For Philippines-based followers of the regional circuit, Taipei is now an active stop with results on the board. Wang's title is the opening story; the next scheduled focal point is the Main Event's first flight on September 22.

One daily tournament's turnout cannot establish how those later fields will perform. A guarantee is a minimum event prize pool, not a forecast of any player's return.
